Alois Milton Dietert, a true master of all trades and a gifted musician, peacefully went to meet his Savior, Jesus Christ on September 20, 2026. He was 90 years old.

Born on June 9, 1936, on the family farm in Zorn, Texas, Alois grew up helping with the farm in his youth before building a life defined by his incredible ingenuity, hard work, and passion for music. He was an exceptionally skilled blacksmith, welder, mechanic, electrician, and HVAC technician. To those who knew him, Alois was a genuine "Jack of All Trades" who possessed the rare ability to fix just about anything mechanical or electrical.

Beyond his technical brilliance, Alois was a deeply talented musician. While he could play almost any string instrument he picked up, his true love was the piano accordion. He shared his musical gifts all over Southwest Texas, bringing life and energy to weddings, dance halls, and anniversaries. Playing classic country, German, and western swing music, the special moments he created on stage brought immense joy to countless audiences and will be fondly remembered by all who danced to his tunes.

Alois is survived by his loving family, including his son, Hank Dietert, and his wife, Rita; his sister, Gladys Jackson; his nephew, Larry Jackson; and his niece, Laura Jackson Whitfield. He leaves behind a proud legacy through his three grandchildren, Garrett Dietert, Kyle Dietert, and Kailey Glover (alongside her husband, Garrett); his great-grandson, Oliver; and numerous beloved great-nieces, great-nephews, and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Emmie Dietert, and his sister, Bernice Dietert, and his brother-in-law, WIlborn “Jack” Jackson, Jr.

Alois will be deeply missed, but his melody lives on in the hearts of his family and friends. In keeping with his wishes, the family plans to hold a private memorial service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Alois’s memory to a charity of your choice.
