Obituary For Charles R Pantermuehl

Charles R. Pantermuehl

Charles Raymond Pantermuehl was born December 29, 1943 in McCook, Nebraska and passed away peacefully April 1, 2026 at 82 in Seguin, Texas. He was a good man, hard working and a real presence in this world -not shy and always either starting or adding to the fun. He played guitar and had that same rough voice that sounded a lot like Merle Haggard. Needless to say, there were music sessions most everywhere he went. He could hunt and fish with the best and the living room walls prove that fact.

Other attributes included the following (we won't mention the unfavorable ones): always willing to help anyone needing it; fixing anything and, if not, making a new part; and being a mechanic, plumber, carpenter or do whatever needed done somehow. He was a Navy veteran having served on the USS Forrestal and retired from Samsonite Corporation after 30 years. During his last year there he trained two young women to become future maintenance mechanics, a nontraditional position for women back then. They appreciated and had fun with him while training.

He loved his family very much and took care of wife of 35 years, Becky, until the ravages of illness took over, which he fought valiantly until the end. He raised four beautiful children (plus one) and was loved by many grandchildren as well. A life celebration will be held with family and friends later.

I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race. I have kept the faith.
2 Timothy 4:7
