David Polanco, affectionately known to many as Pawpaw David, passed away on September 13, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering support. Born on August 27, 1939, in the vibrant land of Panama, David's journey through life was marked by a profound generosity and a heart that welcomed everyone.

David's life was a testament to kindness and selflessness. Always the first to lend a hand, he embraced each person he met with warmth and sincerity. Whether family or a stranger, David never hesitated to offer help to those in need. His life was a living example of altruism, as he opened his heart and home to four boys, raising them as his own and nurturing them with love and dedication.

His family, especially his grandchildren, were the center of his world. David was not only a father but also a guiding light for his grandchildren, providing them with unwavering love and financial support throughout their upbringing. His bond with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren was profound, and his presence will be cherished and missed dearly by all who knew him.

David's life was filled with simple pleasures that brought him joy. He had a passion for fishing and a love for crawfish, often sharing these experiences with loved ones. His fondness for lottery tickets was well-known, and he relished in the excitement they brought. David leaves behind a loving family who will carry forward his legacy. He is survived by his four children, Anthony, Randy, George, and JW; grandchildren, Cassie, Jonathan, Justin Smith, Kirstin, Anthony, Justin Fitzgerald, Jaylon, and Jennifer; and great-grandchildren, Penelope, Paxton, Payne, Aubrey, Caden, Elijah, Rinoa, and Lenora. Each of them holds dear the countless memories and lessons imparted by their beloved Pawpaw David.
