Debra (Debbie) Ann Intrau passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones on March 7, 2026 in New Braunfels, Texas at the age of 69.

Debbie was born in Galveston, Texas on March 22, 1956 to Glen and Gwendolyn Baker. She lived a fulfilled life raising kids and helping others along the way.

Graduating from New Braunfels High School in 1974, Debbie had already been working and helping her family in and out of the home. She had a few different jobs and never met a stranger at any of them. She was always kind and giving in her work. Cold winter days she would make sure her customers were warmed up with food in their bellies. Debbie was a mom figure for many and had many calling her that through the years.

As Debbie grew up on the beach her love of sea life bloomed, she had an enormous collection of seashells. She had a knack for finding all the best things you could find on the beach or just walking in the park. She just enjoyed looking and seeing what kind of treasures might find their way into her sight. She loved making jewelry, especially Christmas earrings. These earrings would become her iconic present to friends and family.

She is survived by her husband Lawrence Intrau and their children Curtis (Shawna) Baker, Selina (Michael) Castillo, and Lisa (Hayden) Knepp. Debbie is survived by her grandchildren Bailey, Ainsley, Alexander, Alexis, Jayden, Eleanor, Jasper, and Gwendolyn. She is also survived by her brothers Larry and Danny Baker, and sister Jolene Dammann, along with nieces and nephews. Debbie was preceded in death by her mother and father.

A celebration of life will be held for her, details to be shared at a later date.
