Obituaries

With heavy hearts we share that Frances Collette Mayfield has passed away. We are grateful for your thoughts, support, and prayers during this time of loss but ask you to also Celebrate that she is now walking the Streets of Gold with our Lord Jesus.

Her life began when her mother actually went to the hospital ON Labor Day but decided to wait another day, along with her twin sister Janice, before being born. Although Frances was born in Houston, she spent her adult life in the Hill Country of Texas with her husband Tom H. Mayfield, and before that with her deceased husband, Paul Radford Beeson. One of the more recent things that brought great joy to her were the auctions she & Tom enjoyed together, the hunt for treasures!

Her LIFELONG TREASURES though were her children, Eric Joel Beeson (wife, Rebekah), April Montez Beeson, Jonathan Paul Beeson (partner, Brianne), Sonia Beeson, & Justin Glenn Wetz (wife, Marlo) and grandchildren, Grace Lockett, Magen Lockett, Blaze Beeson, Walker Beeson, Jesse Beeson, Emily Wetz, Rowan & Violet.

Frances is preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, Robert B. and Sheila C. (Williams) Wood, children Eric Joel Beeson, Carrie Beeson, Sonia Beeson and brother Robert D. Wood (surviving wife Sharon Ronchetto).

Surviving siblings Jacynthia Wood (sister), Janice R. Jordan (twin sister/Billy Jordan), R. M. Wood (brother), and numerous other in-laws and nieces & nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at on September 27, 2025 @ 2:00 pm
