Obituary For Frank Gomez
Frank Gomez, beloved father, grandfather, greatgrandfather, partner, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2026, at the age of 73, surrounded by his loving family. Born on July 23, 1952, in Martindale, Texas, to Donicio and Primitiva Gomez, Frank grew into a man defined by devotion — to his family, his roots, and the people he cherished throughout his life.
Frank was a steadfast and caring son, a loyal brother, and a guiding presence to all who knew him. He carried a quiet strength, a generous heart, and a deep love for his family that shaped every chapter of his life. His warmth, humor, and gentle spirit created a home where everyone felt welcome, supported, and loved.
He is survived by his devoted partner of 22 years, Juanita Rodriguez; his brothers Richard Gomez and Filemon Gomez; and his sister Manuela Gutierrez. Frank leaves behind his loving children: Norma (TJ) Medrano, Debbie (Chino) Perez, Frankie (Leslie) Gomez, and Eric (Elyssa) Gomez.
His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: Isaac Perez, Desirae Perez, Santos Perez III, Gabrielle Medrano, Thomas Jay Medrano, Aaliyah Gomez, Kailyn Gomez, Cassidy Gomez, Isabel Gomez, and Joshua David Gomez; as well as his nine beloved greatgrandchildren, who brought him endless joy and pride.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Gracie Rodriguez Gomez, his brothers Luis Gomez, Chevo Gomez, and Pablo Gomez; his sisters Alicia Kessler and Socorro Guerrero; and his grandson Joshua Israel Hernandez.
Frank was a simple, honest, hardworking man who found happiness in the everyday moments that mattered most. He loved spending time with family — drinking, laughing, and sharing stories that filled every gathering with warmth. He enjoyed watching wrestling, fishing, and cheering on his Dallas Cowboys.
He will be truly missed, but his memory will live on in every smile, every gathering, and every shared moment of joy. And in his honor, we will raise a cold one — celebrating the life of a man who gave so much love and asked for so little in return.
A Mass in his memory will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Martindale at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 7th. Following the service, the Perez family and extended family will host a small reception for loved ones at Hilltop Events, 4083 FM 1979, San Marcos, Texas.
May he rest in eternal peace, reunited with those who went before him, and forever remembered by those who will always love him.
