Joyce Ferguson, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and Aunt passed away peacefully on January 31, 2026 at the age of 79.

Born in St. Louis Missouri on December 14,1946, she will be remembered for her kindness, generosity and warmth. She dedicated her life to her family. Her infectious laughter and loving spirit brightened the lives of all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband Mike, whom she married on February 14, 1994, appropriately since she was one who loved deeply and fiercely. They eventually made their home in Canyon Lake, Tx where she always wanted to so that she could be close to family.

She held a secretarial position at the court house of Comal County in New Braunfels, then transitioned to work for Comal ISD as a bus attendant caring for special needs children where she would retire from.

Joyce enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandkids. She loved adventures; riding the biggest and fastest roller coasters with her grandsons, tubing the Guadalupe river, taking the grandkids along on shopping trips for hours and still to this day they don’t like to go shopping, but they did enjoy the clothes and toys she bought them. She had a zest for life and lived everyday to the fullest. She made wonderful memories with so many people that we will cherish for a lifetime.

Joyce is also survived by her children Holly and Tiffany; grandchildren, Alexander, Kaleb and Braylen; great grandchild Randy; niece Shannara; nephews Aaron, Ben, and Daniel.

She is preceded in death by her parents Robert Loyd and Elnora McGuire, sisters Mary Agnes and Barbara.

As she began getting closer to her journey home she was at peace knowing she will be reunited with her loved ones and her lord and savior Jesus Christ.

Joyce’s memorial service will be held on February 13, 2026 at 12 pm. Family and friends are welcome at attend as we celebrate her remarkable life.
