Michael Leon Lacy, 82, of New Braunfels, Texas, passed away on June 13, 2026.

Michael was born on January 23, 1944, in Saint Charles, Missouri. After graduating from high school in Joplin, Missouri, he proudly served in the National Guard before beginning a lifelong career in masonry.

He started his career as a bricklayer and later became a masonry contractor. He worked alongside his mother and brother in the family business, Lacy Masonry Inc. , for many years. Michael was proud of the commercial buildings he helped build throughout San Antonio and the surrounding area.

Michael married Lucretia Ann Pieper Lacy, and together they shared 60 years of marriage while raising their family.

He was known for his hard work, his quick sense of humor, and his love of sports. He enjoyed deep-sea fishing, golfing, grilling, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was always ready with a joke and enjoyed making others smile.

Michael is survived by his wife, Lucretia Ann Pieper Lacy; his sons, Travis Wiles Lacy (Shelly) and Todd Franklin Lacy (Ruth); his grandchildren, Ella, Hazel, Christopher, Madelyn, Aaron, and Noah; his sister-in-law, Beverly Lacy; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wiles Latham Lacy and Kathryn Eva Murdock Lacy, and his brothers, Wiles Lee Lacy and Patrick Allen Lacy.

Michael will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his strong work ethic, and the example he set for those who knew him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

The family will hold a private burial at a later date.
