Robert Drue Scheel, Sr., age 73 of New Braunfels, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2025, at Resolute Hospital in New Braunfels, Texas.

Robert was born on June 17, 1952 in San Antonio, Texas, but spent the majority of his life in New Braunfels. He was born to his father Rubin Scheel and mother Hattie. Robert worked for and retired from Texas Department of Transportation in New Braunfels, Texas, after many years of service.

Robert enjoyed fishing and hunting and spending time with his friends and family; especially his grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 53 years, Linda Scheel, his mother and father, and granddaughter Kirstie Scheel. Survivors include his son Robert "Robbie" Scheel, Jr. and wife Kerry; daughter Kristy Scheel; grandchildren Preston and Connor Scheel; sister Darline Preiss, brother-in-law Charles 'Chuck' Richter Jr. and wife Debbie; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Robert will be greatly missed by his family and friends, as he has been reunited with his wife and many other loved ones. As Robert requested no services, a gathering of friends and family will be held after the holidays to celebrate his memory.
