Obituaries

Theresa Marie Miller, age 61 of New Braunfels, TX formerly of Chesapeake, VA passed away on April 26, 2026. She was born Theresa Marie Kulick, to George and Jackie Kulick near Seoul, South Korea on November 20, 1964. Theresa lived in Korea with her brothers and parents until they returned to the U.S. in 1968. The family then lived in Portage, PA near her father’s family.

Theresa went to high school at Bishop Carroll in Ebensburg. She attended Mount Aloysius College and received an associate degree in Travel & Tourism in 1989. She was in the Army Reserves from 1987-89, where she met Michael Miller, they were married for 24 years, and had Brianne, Joshua and Samuel. She was also in the Navy from 1990-91, She worked as a claims manager, until just before her death.

Theresa had a very strong faith and loved the Lord. She enjoyed crafts, and she enjoyed making detailed home-made Christmas cards every year.

Theresa is survived by her children, Christi (John) Smay of South Fork, PA; Kim; Brianne (Austin) Arce of New Braunfels, TX; Joshua Miller of Suffolk, VA; and Samuel Miller and Maria of El Paso, TX; five grandchildren: Rylee, Calleigh, Peyton, Kaiden and Damien; brother George (Jacqueline) Kulick, sister Donna (Dwight) Kahny, and many nieces and nephews.

Theresa was preceded in death by her parents and brother Robert.
