Obituary For Yolanda Sierra
In Loving Memory of Yolanda Sierra
Yolanda Sierra, a woman of extraordinary strength, love, and faith, was born in Martindale, Texas. She was the beloved daughter of Pablo and Vicenta Gauna, and throughout her life, she was a beacon of warmth and guidance to her family and friends. Yolanda's life was a tapestry woven with cherished memories, family connections, and invaluable lessons that will continue to inspire future generations. Yolanda was predeceased by her husband, Francisco Sierra; her daughter, Melinda Medina; her son, Steve Sierra; her sister, Zoila Polanco; and her beloved parents, Pablo and Vicenta Gauna. Despite these profound losses, Yolanda's spirit remained resilient and full of love for her surviving family members. She leaves behind her children: Daniel Sierra, Micheal Sierra, Rhonda Sierra, Rene Sierra and his wife Elva, and John Paul Sierra and his wife Margarita. Yolanda's legacy extends to her 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren, each one a testament to the family she so dearly cherished. Yolanda's home was a sanctuary, a place of comfort and warmth, where everyone was welcome. Her belief that "mi casa es tu casa" encapsulated her generous spirit. There was always room for one more story, one more laugh, and one more memory. Her love for her family, especially her grandchildren, was boundless, and she made it her mission to ensure everyone was cared for. One of Yolanda’s most enduring pieces of wisdom was her simple phrase, “Learn, learn…” These words were a call to embrace growth, to continuously seek knowledge, and to learn from life's experiences. Her teachings and stories have left an indelible mark on those who knew her, and her legacy of wisdom will continue to guide her loved ones. Though our hearts are heavy with her passing, we find solace in the love and lessons she imparted. Yolanda's strength, character, and faith have shaped the family she leaves behind, and her memory will be eternally cherished. The family of Yolanda Sierra would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to those who supported her throughout her journey. A special gratitude is extended to Hope Hospice for their compassionate care, and to the third-floor staff at Resolute Hospital for their support. We are also deeply thankful to Legends Tri-County Funeral Home for honoring Yolanda's life with respect and dignity. Yolanda Sierra's funeral service will be held on October 16, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Legends Tri-County Funeral Service, located at 10935 Tx-123, Seguin, TX 78155. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Yolanda's memory to a charity of your choice. Yolanda, you may be gone from our sight, but you will never be gone from our hearts. Rest peacefully, knowing that your love and legacy will continue to live on through those who were blessed to know you.
